Dr. David Riemenschneider has been the Lead Pastor since April 1978. David and his wife, Marina, have two married sons, and five grandchildren. David regularly teaches at the weekend worship hour, leads the Men’s groups and oversees the church staff. Marina serves as the Women’s Break Bible study teacher and PAK leader (5th/6th grade youth group). David and Marina met at Nyack College (New York). David graduated with a Master’s degree in education from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He also completed a Master’s degree in psychology and earned a Doctor’s degree from Denver Theological Seminary. Marina was trained as a elementary school teacher and has taught in both private and public school. Besides David and Marina’s love for serving people in the community, they also enjoy hiking, biking, and reading. David enjoys making wood creations in the garage. Marina loves being Italian, which means she enjoys hospitality, cooking, and living life enthusiastically.
Dr. Bill Calvin became an Associate Pastor in July 2003. Bill and his wife, Nancy, have two adult children and two grandchildren. Bill oversees the church’s adult education, the Alpha programs, ushers, prayer teams, and community outreach events. Bill graduated from Malone College (Ohio), earned a Master’s degree in education at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary (California). Nancy has a Master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Akron. Bill is an avid runner and is attempting to qualify for the Boston Marathon. He has a love for reading, running, telling jokes, and laughing a lot. Nancy works at an insurance company and co-leads the Alpha food team, serves on a worship team, and is a mentor.
Daniel Riemenschneider has served since 2004. Daniel leads the children and youth staff team, inspiring a safe and welcoming environment for ages 0-18. Daniel enjoys serving students because he was positively influenced by caring adults in this community. As Communications Pastor, Daniel oversees the Creative Collective group, web development, and sharing the stories of the church. Daniel attended Toccoa Falls College (Georgia) and completed a Master’s degree in Educational Ministries and a second degree in Counseling at Wheaton Graduate School. Daniel married Amy in 2010. They love drinking coffee, spending time with their three children, going to local parks and forest preserves, and having family dance parties. Daniel also enjoys listening to books and music, exploring the outdoors, and climbing the Rocky Mountains. Amy enjoys being a mom, a registered nurse, crafting, and serving in the children’s and youth ministry.
Nate serves as the Youth Discipleship Pastor. Nate and Anna are both 2013 graduates from Crown College. Nate studied Pastoral Leadership and Christian Studies, with a focus in Youth Ministry. Anna studied Elementary Education and Christian Studies with a focus in Preprimary Education. Nate plays guitar. He is a football fanatic and played the sport into his college years at Crown. He admits that he is a “sports junkie.” He also likes grilling, hunting, board games, video games, and just being outside. Anna enjoys camping, playing her viola, gardening, basketball, photo editing, and running. They both grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska with a fiery passion for Cornhusker Football and the occasional country music song.
Danny serves with the youth staff as Youth Community Outreach Director. He oversees the Friday Night Teen Coffeehouse and outreach/serving events for 7th-12th grade students. He is passionate about Jesus and people. Danny is currently pursuing a degree in Systematic Theology at Moody Bible Institute. Danny loves soccer, playing drums, biking, video gaming, eating Puerto Rican food, and spending time with family and friends. Danny became a part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance family in 2009 when he began attending New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Maywood, IL. He began attending Bloomingdale Church in April of 2015.
Chelsea and Jarrod joined the Bloomingdale Church in November 2016 as International Ministry Candidates. They grew up together in Orrville, Ohio and came to know the Lord at a young age with a call to serve overseas. Chelsea serves as the Middle School Director working with the PAK and Jr. High age groups. She graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a Bachelor’s degree in Bible and Applied Linguistics. Jarrod graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Bible. He currently works for the Forge Resources Group in DeKalb, gaining experience to use overseas. Both Chelsea and Jarrod are competitive and enjoying playing all kinds of games and sports. They also like to watch movies, play music, and hang out with friends.
Brent serves as the 18.20Somethings Director. He leads Thursday night Bible studies and oversees young adult leaders within the church. Brent graduated from Trinity Christian College with a degree in Theology and is currently attending Northern Baptist Seminary. Brent enjoys playing basketball and softball, working out, playing video games, and hanging out with friends and family.
Stuart and Rebecca joined the staff at BC August 2016 as International Ministry Candidates. They serve with the young adults and oversee missions responsibilities throughout the church. Stuart is originally from Long Island, NY and Rebecca is from Pittsburgh, PA. They met through running cross-country at Nyack College, where they received their BAs in Bible, World Religions & Intercultural studies. Stuart is currently working on his M.Div. at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Rebecca works at an autism school by day and ESL school by night. They enjoy running, reading, frisbee, board games, movies, exploring new places, and having good conversations.
Chris serves as the Worship Director. He helps organize and lead the weekend worship services. Chris received his Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Trinity Christian College. Allison received her Bachelor’s from Wheaton College in Communication, and has a Master’s degree from Northwestern University in Journalism. Allison serves as editor of Wheaton magazine. They enjoy playing sports, songwriting, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.
Victoria serves as the Children’s Outreach Director and is excited about helping kids and families to know Jesus. She is a Chicagoland girl who grew up in Palatine, IL and graduated from Wheaton College with a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education (and minor in German). As the Children’s Outreach Director, her current responsibilities include the Children’s Church team, Crossroads Kids Club, Awana Club, Outreach events, Day Camp, and other community children’s events (Party in the Park, Fall Fest, Easter Egg Hunt, and Wacky Water Day). In her free time, Victoria loves to read, draw, play her ukulele, try out new recipes, and teach cardio-kickboxing classes. She also enjoys spending time with friends and getting to know new people over a hot meal.
