Awana At Home
Just like Ross and Rachel from Friends, Awana is on a break. Though we look forward to the day we reunite, for the time being, we will not meet while our schools are closed. We will keep you updated with details as we learn more, but for now, Awana will resume when schools are back in session (hopefully April 8).
WHAT CAN WE DO AT HOME?
Many of our kids are doing online learning, which is great! If you’d like something tangible to work on with your kids, you’re welcome to work with them in their Awana book. This is an opportunity for us to get face-to-face discipleship with our kids and will benefit them especially with all the extra screen-time they may have. Because we won’t be meeting for three weeks, you can go ahead and sign your name and date when your kiddos complete each section. Kids should be able to say their verses independently.
While this book is specific to one group, it may look similar to this:
If you aren’t sure, feel free to call the church office (630) 894-0090 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and I can help you with the books that are specific to your kids.
HOW DO I HELP MY KIDS LEARN THEIR VERSES?
Check out this linked document for different strategies to help you engage your kids in learning their verses creatively as well as application questions to help them process and understand what they are learning.
NEED A BIBLE?
We have Bibles for younger kids, older kids, and teens (and adults!). Stop by our church office between 9am-4pm to pick them up.
Again, don’t hesitate to reach out for any reason. We are here for you.
