Fearfully & Wonderfully Designed

Article by Allie Burkhardt, IPSAT Coach at Bloomingdale Church

“People travel to wonder at the height of the mountains, at the huge waves of the seas, at the long course of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars, and yet they pass by themselves without wondering.” (St. Augustine)

When God created you, He created you with an intentional design! This is something to wonder at—similar to how we travel to see sights like the landscapes in New Zealand, the Grand Canyon, national parks, or beaches. Things just as wonderful as the sights we spend money and time traveling to are inside of you

Nature and nurture are both influencers on your personality and your results on the MBTI. Some of it you were born with, and others are a result of the environment that you grew up in. Your creator God was aware of all of that when He formed you, and He intentionally created you into a beautiful design and masterpiece. We all get broken and bruised along the journey, but what God created when he made you is something that He did intentionally and wants to use in your life!

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

Psalm 139:13-14

Take a moment to wonder at the way that God created you, and praise the fact that his works are wonderful! If you have time, I encourage you to listen to this artistic musical rendition of Psalm 139 by Shane & Shane.
