Who are the IPSAT Coaches?

At Bloomingdale Church we place a high value on discipleship—growing into who God designed us to be. Part of this developmental journey includes being a good steward of everything God has entrusted to us, including our identity profile—the unique combination of personality, strengths, skills, spiritual gifts, and passions.

It can be challenging to figure this out on our own. That’s why we launched the Identity Profile Self-Awareness Tool (IPSAT) at Bloomingdale Church, to help you discover, optimize, and unleash the Kingdom Resources God put inside you. We are confident this learning opportunity will deepen your understanding of who God made you to be so you can pursue even more intentionally what He put you on the earth to do.

Daniel Riemenschneider

I am confident in God’s design and grateful for being transformed by Jesus’ Good Work. I am a dreamer—like a cup of delicious coffee in a beautiful place, I often think about environments that are best suited for friendship and learning. I enjoy conceptualizing projects and events long before they are a reality. I can see the possibilities in people and teams, and look for ways to increase their value. I am a learner and like getting things done. I am in love with my wife Amy, and am increasingly grateful for her honesty and empathy. I intentionally affirm and enjoy adventures with Mari, Ben, and Sam every day.

A few years ago I started receiving coaching. I was savoring many satisfying opportunities in life and work, and I was open to being stretched. Having a growth mindset, and truly wanting what God wanted, drove me toward this development priority. My engagement in the IPSAT and having the opportunity to coach others in their journey reflects my growing awareness of what I am strategically aligned to do—awakening people and teams to who they are and what they are aligned to do.

Allie Burkhardt

I love reading and spending time outside. Sometimes that time outside is spent running or rollerblading, and other times, just resting and enjoying what’s around me. Since being the lead singer in a band didn’t work out, I indulge my music hobby by listening to music, especially music by the band Switchfoot, or attempting to play instruments. I also enjoy a good movie or video game. Currently I am also in school working towards my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology! I am enjoying my coursework.

I worked through the IPSAT for the first time in the beginning of 2019. The IPSAT is a tool that helps me to see that the way that God created me, even these fun facts that I shared with you, is intentional and can be used to serve God and others. I am learning to praise God because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and because God’s works are wonderful (Psalm 139:14). The IPSAT is something that I will go back to as I continue to listen to God’s leading in my life and see how he uses the intricacies of how he created me and my story to make his name great. It is a powerful tool that God has used in my life, and I know he can use in the lives of others as well!

Max Terman

I’m a big nerd, whether it’s the Bible, economics or video games. I love spending my days with my friends: playing board games, watching movies and cooking meals together. Christian community might be the most beautiful example of the love of God that you’ll ever encounter, and it’s an incredible gift to have a church family that strives to grow closer to God together. Growing up in Seattle, I learned to love hiking, biking and walking, even if there isn’t much of an elevation change in Illinois. I currently work as a hiring consultant, recruiting and interviewing people all day long!

This past year has seen a powerful resurgence in my faith, and a commitment to seeing practical applications of my beliefs. The IPSAT has been an incredibly helpful tool in discovering how to use my gifts and interests the way God intended them. It has allowed me the space and focus to become more familiar with who I am, and to look excitedly at the person God is making me to be. The IPSAT challenges me to be honest with myself, and to begin to see the different parts of my life as one whole, reflecting the beauty and care of God’s plan for me. I am learning to see how my design was made to glorify God in a completely unique way, finding the confidence to use my gifts for him in new and unexpected ways.
