My name is Ismaël Chery and I will be interning this summer (2017). I will be serving alongside Nate Kugel and the extraordinary Youth Staff team to assist in the development and growth of our teenagers for God’s Kingdom. I’ve already had the pleasure of meeting many of you and I look forward to being a part of what the Lord has planned for this next generation. For those of you who don’t know me, here is a little bit about myself:
Where are you from?
I’m a senior at Nyack College and I am from Queens, NYC.
In one word, how would your friends describe you?
What will you be leading at Bloomingdale Church?
I’ll be leading in the set-up and discussions for Coffeehouse and Sunday Morning Youth Group (SMYG), as well as mentoring and encouraging our youth to walk in obedience with the Lord.
What is your goal for this summer?
My internship goal is to show compassion to the youth by listening and encouraging them as they grow in their faith. My professional goal is to listen to the Lord’s leading as I choose between youth ministry and sports ministry—or maybe both!
