If I were somewhere in the age of 3 to 6 years old, I would probably love going to Children’s Church. As the NextGen Pastor, I’ve sat amongst the children and I too have been mesmerized by teachers, like Ms Denise (pictured below). From her wealth of experience as a special education teacher in Glendale Heights, Ms Denise knows how to manage a classroom, making all children feel safe and loved. She always brings out a picture of Jesus, reminding children that they are loved by Him. In her classroom, we all are learners hearing the amazing stories of the Bible.
KidsQuest include all children from birth through 6th grade. Kids make friends, have fun, and learn about faith in a safe and welcoming environment. We place a high priority on the safety of children. Adults and assisting teens that work with children are screened and trained.

What are kids, age 2-6th grade learning at Awana Club? We are learning a lot about God:
- Puggles and Cubbies have been learning about the days of creation. What a powerful and creative God we serve!
- Sparks have been going through the Konnect series (a resource from Life.Church) about our identity in Christ. Check out the videos we use!
- In T&T, kids are learning that God is Truth, God is All-Powerful, God is Everywhere, and God is All-Knowing.
- PAK students are going through the Sermon on the Mount. They recently discussed what it means to be salt and light to the world.
If you are dropping off your 0-3 year old in the Nursery, or picking up your elementary-age child at Children’s Church, you may notice that some of the volunteers know each other quite well. That’s because they are family members. Within the NextGen volunteer team, we have multiple mom/dad and daughter/son combinations. It is awesome!
Stephanie, of Roselle IL, explains “I love working with my (two) sons in the Nursery. It seems like all too often hectic schedule have us moving in different directions. It’s nice to have some time together to show our love for others.”

At Crossroads Kids Club, children at a public elementary school in Bloomingdale are learning about Jesus! This is truly an awesome blessing and privilege – we thank God for this!
We’re having fun and praising God that we get to see children receive their first Bible and hear the Good News, some for the first time. We pray that God would open the eyes of these children and their families, that they would see Jesus – the Way, and the Truth, and the Life.
Please join us in praying that God would clear a path for us to open up another club and share His name with more students in Bloomingdale, Illinois.
