Passion Project 2020

Every Easter season, our church has a unique and impactful giving tradition called the Passion Projects. Due to COVID-19, this year’s Passion Project was postponed until Thanksgiving 2020. These projects are special activities planned by our denomination’s international workers as well as special programs in inner-city Chicago. This Thanksgiving, we will be taking a Passion Offering for five special and worthwhile projects. Start asking God now how you can participate and consider giving to one of these projects on the weekend before Thanksgiving (November 21/22).

Our goal is to give away $40,000.

Our Passion Project committee has discovered the following specific needs:

  1. Guinea, West Africa (Jim & Becky D)
to build a place of refuge for persecuted believers in the Fulani-language church
  2. Indonesia (Stuart & Rebecca G)
to help purchase a car and a small motorbike to get around their city
  3. Asia (Jen H)
to send someone from our church to gain an understanding of her work in Asia
  4. Chicago Alive Youth Camp
to enable inner-city teens to attend uplifting, spiritually-focused day camps
  5. Envision Chicago
to support the Envision project that trains young potential international workers to prepare for missions work

You can give two ways:

  1. Give during the November 21/22 weekend services*
  2. Give online:

*We will give the first $40,000 received on this weekend to Passion Project. Please do not write “Passion Project” designation on your checks.
