We’re All In This Together.

Article by Dan Marcello, Young Families Pastor

The house is quiet, too quiet.

Parent: “Child, are you ok?”
Child from the other room: “Yes, everything’s fine. Don’t worry about it.”

Feeling suspicious, parent goes to check on child.
Child has cut their own hair and tries unsuccessfully to cover it up despite sporting some very crooked bangs.

Don’t get me wrong, there are so many wonderful things about our kids, but if we’re being honest, parenting can often be a hard job, and not just because of the sometimes crazy things kids do! As parents, we all want our kids to turn out well, get a good job, and have productive, happy lives in every sense, but figuring out how to help them get there can be a challenge.

You’re not alone. Many of us––myself included––are on that same parenting journey.

I invite you to join my wife Amber and I along with other young families on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45am in the Coffeehouse. Starting September 8th, we’ll be doing a study called “Parental Guidance Required” by Andy Stanley. It deals with many practical topics, such as making the most of our time and influence with our children, making sure they have rich relationships and not just many experiences, and also growing their relationship with God.

I’m looking forward to seeing you there!
