Teens Serving Opportunities

Awana Kids Club

Awana is a high-energy kids club for children age 2–6th grade. Volunteers help children know Jesus through Bible study and memorization, game time, music, incentives, and modeling. Will you join our team?

Ways to serve:
  • Big Brother/Sister (serve 1-2 a month): Be intentional about making kids feel special by connecting 1-2 a month with 2-3 kids. See the Awana Leader Handbook for more details
  • Awana Z Leader (serve Weds from 6:15-7:15pm): Lead kids in fun activities, Bible lessons and discussion, and help them with their handbooks on Zoom
  • Monthly Check-Ins (first Weds of each month, 6:30-8pm): Help distribute awards, supplies, and prizes to kids and families

Food Pantry

We seek to help people in the same way that Jesus reminded: “I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me drink.” (Matthew 25:35)

Serving in this ministry is a way to remind people of God’s love and care for us in a truly tangible way (food!). In partnering with the Deacons, it is also a way for teens to raise funds for upcoming trips and retreats. (Trip Tix must be filled out and submitted)

Children’s Church

Kids love hanging with teens. There are so many areas you can serve with the kids: hang out and get to know them, lead a small group, play games, help kids learn Bible verses, lead worship, and more! If there’s something you’re passionate about, there’s probably a way for you to do that during children’s church.
