This year’s Winter Camp theme was “Answer the Call.” Pastor Stuart described how God calls us in 1 Peter to salvation, to holiness, and to ministry. While enjoying the beautiful hills along Lake Geneva, students played broomball, football, carpetball, pool, and hiked the waterfront, catching views of the neighborhood bald eagles.
The punctuating moment of Winter Camp was the annual ‘Creative Space’ worship time done on Saturday. This activity gave students the choice to pray in confession and for healing, a unique Bible reading practice, or just join in the larger group and sing worship songs. The students took this opportunity seriously and several students concluded on dramatic changes that needed to take place in their lives.
One student responded by saying, “Man, I can’t wait to go school this week. I just feel on fire right now. I want to bring the Church to my friends.”
